FAQs

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

inaothun.51230344_stdHow many people are on your tours?
At I Bike Saigon, we think it’s important to keep our groups small (usually no more than 12 people to 1 guide), in order to give travelers the best tour service in the city, with the best value. We are not a tourist processing plant. We care. Ohhh! you can feel the love!! But seriously, this way we are able to answer questions, tell stories, and get to know our clients better than most other companies.

Are your bike tours safe?shutterstock_565669451.46220600_std
Yes! Our tours are safe, as we stay primarily on small streets, alleyways, footpaths, sidewalks, and riversides throughout the city. Our local guides really know Saigon and will help you navigate the city landscape with ease.

Are your tours in English?
Yes! All of our tour guides speak English, as our number one priority is to provide great insider tours for English speaking visitors. Our guides were born and brought up or have lived in Saigon for years, can show you what is a Saigonese along the way!

What happens when it rains?
Because Saigon is a city to experience no matter what the weather conditions are like, we offer our tours rain or shine. We have had many songs and romantic movies of Saigon in the rain.

If we are unfortunate enough to have a shower during the tour, this will be brief as it’s very localized, between 10 to 30 minutes, and we’ll seek shelter until the sun shines again.

Is it too hot to cycle in Saigon – Ho Chi Minh City?
It’s a very comfortable way to travel as you always feel a cooling breeze, especially on the tours that follow or close to the river. In addition, since Saigon is relatively flat, there are no strenuous inclines on any of our tours.

What about the other Saigon Tours?
It’s true, Saigon and I Bike Saigon do have many other tours. But why spend all day on a slow, big bus with many strangers in a traffic jam city as Saigon? At I Bike Saigon, you can choose a bike tour or a day tour with small groups. We see more than any other tours in the city, give you the most interesting information, and have the best value you’ll find. And remember, locals always know best!

Are all I Bike Saigon tours suitable for anybody?
It is a very comfortable ride but you do require some bicycle skills. Saigon is flat but we do navigate through back roads, small alleyways to stay away from the main roads. As we are riding bikes in a Mega city, we can’t always avoid certain parts of the main roads to get from A to B. However, our guides are always there for you to ensure you have a safe and unforgettable time! If you can’t swim, do not go to the pool!

What are the best places to stay, eat, hang out, see music, etc?
